Have to do…
"Puech Blanc" is in the middle of the "golden triangle" formed by the 3 medieval towns of Cordes, Gaillac and Albi. This region is in the heart of the millennial Gaillac vineyard, created by the Romans.
The beautiful countryside offers possibilities for hiking and cycling. From "Puech Blanc", you can walk freely through the vineyards. Our site is surrounded by around sixty estates of the prestigious Gaillac wine, which you can easily visit, and also taste and also buy wine.
There are two forests nearby, so you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to picnics, walking, biking or horseback riding. The Tarn and Aveyron rivers will allow you to have fun on their watercourse with canoes or kayaks that you can rent.
Albi is 20 minutes away and houses the Toulouse-Lautrec museum. There are many shops, boutiques, restaurants and cafes to relax. You will also find a magnificent golf course 'Lasbordes' with 18 holes, in a wide loop of the Tarn. The clubhouse is a castle dating from the 18th century, and all the necessary equipment is available on site for hire.
Gaillac is our local market town 10 minutes away on the small road that runs along "Puech Blanc". Each Friday, this market is the meeting place for regional farmers and producers to sell an astonishing range of local products and live animals.
Cordes is a pretty medieval town, 15 minutes away, which still attracts many visitors.
